How can we teach ourselves and our daughters to be emotionally independent? I am constantly aware how every choice I make as a woman impacts my daughter and how she will think a woman should be. I grew up in a very controlling and emotionally abusive home and have to struggle daily to find the right path as a woman and a mother. Everything that people who haven't had my experiences may take for granted I struggle to figure out how to accomplish. Are there any books or suggestions you may have to help me figure this all out?

Thank you!
